A simple storage wall articulates the space. Perforated to allow light to penetrate, the screen shifts across its length according to what is stored behind, and giving form to the office layout.

All the existing built-in furniture was measured, carefully dismantled from the previous office and reconfigured for the new space. The project was achieved by working closely with the contractor, creating a highly successful office space for a dynamic London magazine on a very low budget.

The screens are perforated with Warhol’s image of Marylin Monroe, alluding to the relationship between art and reproduction, while the perforations themselves make reference to Lichtenstein’s dot paintings.

The panels serve to hide the messy storage area behind, while also providing a necessary acoustic baffle to the otherwise rigorously clean office.
