  • This domestic conversion consists of the insertion of a new mezzanine floor in an existing light industrial unit in East London.

The mezzanine floor straddles the living areas between the entrance hall and the dining room providing a separate kitchen below with large sliding doors, and a new living space nestled above.

A new walnut staircase was constructed, which gives the impression of a cantilever.

The dynamic roof structure inspired the form of the steel balustrades and the asymmetrical design of the mezzanine as it projects into the double height space.
